| Vigilance Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) |
Vigilance EPMS provides an innovative, flexible and new solution,
specifically tailored to address the key issues and requirements
of today’s Data Centre owner / operators.
The increased cost of power has resulted in it’s escalation to a major contributor of operational
costs for data centre owner / operators. Thus the financial driver has significantly increased to
reduce power consumption via increased management of the power resource, beyond the
capability of most BMS. In order to achieve these major cost reductions, an increased level of data
is required to provide the “toolkit” with which to manage & thus reduce power consumption.
Vigilance EPMS provides that “toolkit.”
In addition, co-location data centre owners now have a requirement to ensure their billing methods
encapsulate the power consumption being used by clients, as opposed to just on M2 calculation.
Once again this requires an increased level of data and management in order to ensure revenue is
linked to cost. Vigilance EPMS provides the revenue certified (Ofgem/MID certified) multi-function
meters, branch circuit monitoring, & software solutions.
Finally, there has been the emergence and increase of the ecology or “Green” issues with an
agenda to reduce carbon emissions via the reduction in power consumption. Vigilance provides
the data which enables the power consumptions reductions to be realised, via increased
management.
