The EX-101 module is a network I/O station (8DI, 8DI/DO, 2AI) with optoisolated z RS232/422/485 interface implementing a standard MODBUS RTU protocol both in Slave and Master modes. Due to the ability of executing a local control program, the EX-101 module may work as a freely programmable PLC controller.

EX-101 modules enable creation of a distributed surveillance, monitoring, measuring, diagnostics and control systems. The feature that is unique for EX-101 is a possibility of data transmission not only in query-response mode but on event occurrence (a change of state on digital I/O or a significant change of an analog input)as well.

The module is equipped with an internal event logger with 100ms resolution (a RTU functionality), and a real time clock (RTC). The module is fully configurable and programmable by means of an intuitive and user friendly Application suite.

The EX-101 can cooperate with any Modbus Master/Slave device and any system for data acquisition and visualisation. (standard Modbus RTU driver). We can offer a customised OPC driver that performs excellently with iFIX visualization and iHistorian archiving software.
